PBS is providing Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineering Services for the Renovation and Addition to the Westfield Century City Mall, to include the Loading Dock, Bloomingdale’s Entry, Lower Level Structural Re-Work, and New Retail Space and Parking, located in Los Angeles, California; the estimated project square footage is 380,000 (new retail) and 400,000 (new parking).

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design and documentation were provided for the expansion and renovation of the Westfield Century City Mall, that reopened September 2017. The project new retail space (380,000 SF), new parking structure (400,000 SF), Bloomingdale’s entry, loading dock, and lower level structural rework.  MEP design to modify utilities associated with renovation to existing retail space located above existing parking levels was provided by PBS, as well as all new utilities associated with new retail and parking structure. PBS provided utility stubs for all retail spaces and common area design requirements with architects and lighting designers. New infrastructure was designed to continue Bloomingdale’s operation during renovation, and in addition, PBS provided infrastructure for the new vertical transportation component associated with the Bloomingdale’s entry work.
