Harbor—UCLA Medical Center

HUCLA is $1.2+ Billion County of Los Angeles design build project with multiple buildings. Inpatient tower (9 floors), outpatient tower (7 floors), Central Plant, Lab Building/Sheriff (2 floors) and SE Connector. PBS Engineers provided complete Electrical (power and lighting) and Technology design (Structural cabling, security, paging, clock, nurse call, plan check and construction administration. This includes day to day coordination with Architect, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Medical Equipment, Door Hardware, Furniture and End Users. The design includes complete drawings, specifications, single line diagram, riser diagrams and details. Part of the work is the review of the bridging documents, room by room data sheets and the coordination with the contractors to make sure the design of the systems within budget and scope of work. After the design is complete, PBS provided full support for plan check submittals (HCAI) including back check and final approvals for the construction drawings and specifications.*
