One PBS Team: Building Our Global Future Together
By Prital Patel, Vice President and Design Director
Visiting our PBS Global team in India was an opportunity to see firsthand how thoughtfully our team is being built and how closely connected they are to the future of PBS Engineers. Spending time with the team in person reinforced my confidence in what PBS Global can become and how important it will be to the future of our organization. While miles may separate our offices, our people share the same commitment to quality, collaboration, and providing work we can all be proud of.
What I am most proud of about PBS Global is the team we are building. They are talented, committed, and eager to learn, and they are becoming an integral part of one PBS team.
PBS Global is an integrated part of PBS Engineers. It is not intended to operate as a separate production office, but as part of the same expertise, responsiveness, accountability, and trusted service our clients and partners expect from PBS. By working as one integrated team, we can share knowledge across offices, strengthen coordination, maintain consistent QA/QC standards, and create shared accountability for our work. Just as importantly, our teams can support one another across offices and time zones while continuing to deliver the high-quality work our clients expect.
As our company continues to grow, we must remain agile and responsive. PBS Global gives us greater flexibility to respond to changing project demands, support our teams across time zones, and serve our clients more efficiently. It also gives us greater scalability, continuity, and access to a broader talent pool while maintaining the quality and standards that define PBS Engineers.
During my visit, I was particularly impressed by the team’s curiosity, the thoughtful questions they asked, and their desire to understand not only how we do the work, but why we do it that way. They are strengthening their technical knowledge and building meaningful relationships with their colleagues in the United States. That connection is essential because the success of PBS Global will not be measured simply by how much work we can produce. It will be measured by the quality of our work, how effectively our teams collaborate, and whether every team member truly understands and feels that they are part of one PBS.
We are creating an environment where talented people can build meaningful careers, develop technically, grow into leadership roles, and have opportunities across the entire PBS organization. We want our teams to have the resources, relationships, mentorship, and shared purpose to do work that truly matters. Investing in PBS Global is an investment in our entire organization and in our ability to provide greater responsiveness, scalability, technical depth, continuity of service, and care to our clients and communities.
PBS Global is not about creating two teams in two locations; it is about building one PBS team with shared standards, shared accountability, and shared opportunities to grow.
I returned from India proud of the team we are building and even more confident about what lies ahead. My biggest takeaway from the visit was that we are building much more than additional capacity. We are building relationships, developing future leaders, and creating a stronger organization that can serve our clients wherever their needs take us. The foundation is being built not only through systems and processes, but through people – people who are committed to learning from one another, supporting one another, and contributing to the continued success of PBS Engineers.
