Shaping San Diego’s Airport Experience, Engineering Every Detail to Reach New Heights

We didn’t just work at San Diego International Airport—we grew with it. Proud to have played a role, alongside great partners, in shaping an airport that continues to reflect the momentum of the San Diego region.

Shaping San Diego’s Airport Experience

Engineering Every Detail to Reach New Heights

Our presence in the region further strengthens this work. With a dedicated San Diego PBS Engineers office, our team brings local insight and responsiveness to every project. Being embedded in the community allows us to better understand the unique needs of the airport, collaborate more closely with partners, and deliver solutions that truly WOW.

Beyond the airport itself, our involvement in the Quieter Homes Program underscores our commitment to the broader community. As aviation infrastructure continues to grow and evolve, it is essential that progress is balanced with the well-being of surrounding neighborhoods. This program reflects our belief that engineering solutions should extend beyond immediate project boundaries, contributing to a better quality of life for the communities we work and serve.

Through our work at San Diego International Airport, PBS Engineers continues to demonstrate its expertise in delivering comprehensive solutions across the aviation and transportation landscape. From passenger processing and airline operations to transportation systems and community-focused initiatives, our approach remains centered on innovation, collaboration, and long-term impact. As we expand our presence in this space, we remain committed to providing WOW through service—ensuring that every project not only meets expectations but elevates the standard for what is possible.

Equally important is the work that happens behind the scenes. Our team has supported essential operational improvements, including Transportation Network Company (TNC) facilities and break rooms at taxi and TNC hold lots, as well as transportation island enhancements that improve circulation and connectivity throughout the airport. Our collaboration on cargo and ground support equipment services for United Airlines further highlights our role in ensuring that critical logistics and airline operations continue to function efficiently and without interruption.

While many of these efforts reflect targeted improvements across the airport, our experience at San Diego International Airport also includes larger, more complex projects that demonstrate the depth of our capabilities. PBS Engineers has contributed to major initiatives such as the T1 Parking Structure, airline relocations, common use systems, the Administration Building, and T2 airline tenant improvements—further reinforcing our ability to support both large-scale developments and highly detailed operational enhancements within active airport environments. As Ravi Singh, VP of Growth and Development, shared: “We didn’t just work at San Diego International Airport—we grew with it. Proud to have played a role, alongside great partners, in shaping an airport that continues to reflect the momentum of the San Diego region.”
