Introduction to OC Office Projects

Welcome to our Project Spotlight series, highlighting the exceptional work of the PBS Engineers OC Office located in Costa Mesa. Our PBS Engineers team excels in retail and hospitality sectors, delivering innovative MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) solutions that blend functionality and aesthetics. From climate control to lighting and plumbing, precise engineering is key to a successful project. PBS Engineers ensures every project not only meets but exceeds client expectations, creating a WOW product.

High-End Retail Store

Our team completed a high-end retail store in Newport Beach, CA, featuring a full commercial kitchen, event space, climate-controlled patio, and wine bar.

The project faced challenges like integrating existing HVAC systems that were not optimally sized or located for the new tenant’s space plan and maintaining high ceilings while routing ductwork, all while meeting the client’s state-of-the-art standards.

Our team integrated Variable Volume and Temperature (VVT) components with existing HVAC units to achieve optimal zone control. Ductwork was strategically routed to preserve ceiling heights, and visually unobtrusive button-style temperature sensors and linear diffusers were utilized to seamlessly blend in with the high-end architectural finishes within the space. Our PBS Engineers team also designed high-efficiency lighting to enhance product displays, and innovative plumbing solutions and high-end fixture selections were utilized to create luxurious customer restrooms.

The seamless integration of MEP systems with the store’s architectural design resulted in an optimal indoor environment and conditioned patio. Our client was highly satisfied with the project, contributing to the store’s success as a high-end retail destination.

The OC Office’s work on this Newport Beach retail store showcases our commitment to excellence in MEP engineering for retail and hospitality sectors, providing WOW through service!
