PBS is providing Electrical engineering services for the Terminal 7 United Redevelopment Program.  The scope includes power distribution upgrades to the main electrical room and secondary electrical rooms throughout the terminal, lighting upgrades at various areas and low voltage (FIDS/GIDS, BIDS, voice, data, AV and paging, ACAMS, CCTV and BMS).  Upgrades to the existing terminal-wide fire alarm system were all part of the complex redevelopment, which included a new United Club space, security screening checkpoint (SSCP), rework of existing terminal hold rooms, connectors, baggage claim, check-in, new mechanical room and portions of Terminal 8 departures concourse level and Terminal 7-8 Connector.  PBS is performing concurrent design efforts with the power upgrade project to allow for complex phasing of the CBIS project.  PBS is involved in all aspects of the electrical design including detailed coordination with LAWA, HNTB and United Airlines.  The total project size is pproximately 250,000 square feet.
