PSB Engineers, Inc. received a 2012 Rehabilitation/Renovation/Restoration Honor Award from the Design Build Institute of America as part of the Hensel Phelps/Morrow Meadows team for this project.  

PBS provided electrical engineering services for the recent $238 million design/build renovation of Terminal 6 for Alaska Airlines.  The work included terminal wide improvements at the arrival, departure, ticketing, security screening checkpoints, concourse, ramp support and satellite levels.  Along with interior renovations, PBS also provided electrical designs for the new in-line baggage system provided for the terminal, consisting of a five Explosion Detection System (EDS) matrix with dedicated inspection rooms; actively coordinated design efforts with the Construction Manager, Contractor, Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA), Transportation Security Administration, Customs and Border Patrol.
